CARA-KATE-TWIGGY

If Kate Moss was the new Twiggy, Cara Delevingne is the new Kate Moss .
There are models that mark an era, during the 60's Twiggy, super skinny with doe eyes, creates a new model of beauty, more rakish and modern. As Kate is distinguished from junoesque top models that trod the catwalks in the 90's, slim body, intense and melancholy eyes, is quite different from the sexy and seductive muses that depopulated in those years. Today is the turn of Cara , beautiful bad girl, famous for his bushy eyebrows and funny faces.
Certainly these supermodels represent a break with the aesthetics of beauty to whom we were used to.  To become icon must exit out of the box.

MARTIN MARGIELA SHOW BY JOHN GALLIANO

In the final day of the Men London Collections there was a first Martin Margiela's show designed by John Gallaiano.
The former Belgian fashion label is now owned by Italian Renzo Rosso, who announced Mr. Galliano as creative director last October, three years after the designer was fired from his job as artistic director of Christian Dior because of a drunken anti-Semitic rant.
Galliano sent out a collection in two parts: First came a series of jackets in black or red, sometimes with one side cut away to reveal fringed and beaded hot pants and vests or bodysuits. There was a series of black silk trouser suits, a velvet maxi-dress, a leopard-print bodysuit under a red chiffon dress, bicolor platform shoes.
Overall it seems to me that Galliano hasn't manage to keep the mood more essential and minimal of the Maison Martin Margiela.

SILVER DAYS

The last dress I wore in 2014 was a 80's long golden dress. As the first outfit of 2015 I chose a 60's top in silver lurex  for a silver total look. At this point next year I could start it with a lead dress, hoping that it is not a metaphor given the times we live in... but we challenge the fate!

60's SILVER TOP

If at the end of 80's, we have had an excessive and baroque fashion that is well reflected in  gold dresses, silver was protagonis of  '60s, thanks to the tendency of that period and futuristic design of clothes  It was 1964, the first being Courrèges: the “Space age” collection, inaugurates "sputnik couture",  envisaging the future.

NEW DESIGNERS:ISA ARFEN

London-based womenswear label ISA ARFEN was founded in late 2011 by Serafina Sama, following a small collection of summer dresses inspired by the retro glamour of Slim Aarons’ society photographs. The pieces were sold exclusively through private sales, and the enthusiastic response led the designer to develop these initial themes into a broader collection that combines a strong sense of tradition with a modern, eclectic attitude. Growing up in Ravenna, Italy, Serafina was surrounded by strong female figures whose individual, eccentric and irreverent styles are reflected in the ISA ARFEN design aesthetic. Drawing on the canons of Italian stylethe label is relaxed, feminine and fun.
Serafina Sama graduated from Central Saint Martins School of Art & Design in 2006 having gained studio experience at Marni, Lanvin and Marc Jacobs. For the following two years she worked in Paris as design assistant at Chloé before returning to London in the summer of 2008 to start a family. She subsequently worked on free-lance projects for Chloé, Louis Vuitton, Acne and Charlotte Olympia.
