SOCIALITITE (yesterday and today): SLIM KEITH-POPPY DELEVINGNE

Nancy "Slim" Keith,  was a New York socialite and fashion icon during the 1940s and 1960s, exemplifying the American jet set. She and her friend Babe Paley were the thinly veiled inspiration for characters in Truman Capote's novel Answered Prayers. Introduced into Hollywood society by actor William Powell at age seventeen, she soon met William Randolph Hearst and was well on her way: While married to director Howard Hawks, she “discovered” a young Lauren Bacall on the cover of Harper’s Bazaar. Keith is an evergreen style icon. She held her own, opting for a long, lean silhouette: sporty, easy clothes that accented her lithe figure and delicate features that she could still move in.

Poppy Angela Delevingne is an English model and socialite.
Delevingne was born in London, one of three daughters of property developer Charles Delevingne and personal shopper Pandora Delevingne (née Stevens) and the granddaughter of Sir Jocelyn Stevens.
She has featured in campaigns for the likes of Burberry and Louis Vuitton, and her personal style amalgamates high-end with high-street. Poppy is a muse and friend of Matthew Williamson and she's young ambassador of the British Fashion Council and brand Ambassador for Chanel, Poppy Delevigne conquered on the field the title of “socialite”, that’s how she became one of the most popular it girls of the moment.
In May 2014 she married James Cook.
