So the 15 rooms of the Rome Marriott Grand Hotel Flora become in small atelier to meet the designers and view the collections.
The colors and fabric prints are the first thing that struck me coming into this room.
Vahan Khachatryan was born in Armenia and has drawn inspiration from the legacy of his own gifted family. His grandfather was a well-known painter and he grew up surrounded with his artwork. After graduating from Polimoda Florence, Vahan works as haute couture designer at Dolce & Gabbana, his collection was much inspired by Italy. Vahan Khachatry is a very talented designer. Each dress is hand crafted and a team of designers creates original models of fabrics, his brand collaborates with the best producers of lace and fabrics of Europe.

So the 15 rooms of the Rome Marriott Grand Hotel Flora become in small atelier to meet the designers and view the collections.
In room 211 I knew the Giuliana Mancinelli Bonafaccia's work.
Giuliana Mancinelli Bonafaccia discovers her interest in jewelry while studying architecture. Each piece is the result of unconventional choices , where creative inspiration comes from stylistic contrasts between architectural details, art, photographs and macro texture. The jewelry are made of brass, silver, ruthenium and black plexiglass. All jewelry is handcrafted and exclusively made in Italy. The clutches are really beautiful.

So the 15 rooms of the Rome Marriott Grand Hotel Flora become in small atelier to meet the designers and view the collections.
In this room, I was really fascinated by the clothes that I saw.
Indeed one of the most interesting surprises was the Uzbekistan fashion designer Zulfiya Sulton. In her collections the designer uses traditional Uzbek fabrics revisited in a contemporary key. The halo-bakhmal, the adras, mixed with silks and cottons draw thin and delicate silhouettes, embellished with Uzbeks embroidery hand made.

ROOM SERVICE-Co.Ro
Room 215:
During Altaroma, many new designers have had the opportunity to present their work at the Rome Marriott Grand Hotel Flora inside Room Service project curated by Simonetta Gianfelici. So the 15 rooms of the Rome Marriott Grand Hotel Flora become in small atelier to meet the designers and view the collections.
In the 3th room I entered was exposed Co.Ro. collection.
Co.Ro are the initials of Collegio Romano, the school where the two designers Constanza De Cecco and Giulia Giannini met. The designers both come from the world of architecture, studied jewelery design at Academia di Moda e Costume. Often jewels inspired by architectures, buildings jewels, from mediterranean houses to ancient temples, up to industrial complexes, revisited with a twist of irony by playing with the principles of jump in scale and function. Handcrafted by Italian artisans, represent a harmonious fusion of rationalism and classical tradition. The composition method passes through a research focused on space, producing volumes and shapes that refer to geometries of structural forms enclosed in worlds of minimal dimensions.
