SOMETHING TO EAT

Sung Yeonju was born in Korea in 1986 and graduated from the Hong Ik University in 2010. In this work: "Wearable Foods", she makes garments out of food and photographs them. As a fine artist, she fell in love with photography as a main tool and a medium to create her visions. The dresses are constructed entirely out of edible items, from tomato, to mushroom and eggplant. In this sense, the clothing also completely contradict the notion of food. Who would eat a dress, however beautiful? Brilliant hues and seductive forms of dresses, savored and remembered, never to be worn again.
