THIS DRESS WAS A SKIRT

It was very easy to make this dress. It was necessary just to add some straps to the skirt end a belt to give it a right shape.
How to made cap sleeves: cut the lace edge of an old panty, apply them on an elastic straps, to complete you can apply a little satin rose on the seam.
Et voilà..the dress is ready!

TWO DIFFERENT WAYS TO WEAR A SKIRT THAT WAS A BABYDOLL

I wore this skirt in two different ways: one with a Red Valentino's chiffon shirt and powder pink heels with socks, a little bit doll style; another way to wear this skirt is with a simple vintage t-shirt and flat boots to soften the naïve tones of this skirt.

MY EX BABY DOLL

This skirt was actually a lace and nylon 60's babydoll  that I cut, I took off one flounce, and I curled at the waist with a smocking stitch.

BOTTON UP SKIRT

From the 70's 'till now all vintage shops have exposed suede button up skirts like the one photographed below. I saw someone in leather, denim, with scallop, in many different colors. I bought this suede skirt many years ago in a little vintage shop in Ibiza full of hippy clothes, it was love a the first sight, the first in a series , they are indeed followed by others , other colors and other materials I got them around....

A DIFFERENT WAY

In recent years, clothes have changed quite a little, however, has changed the way people wear them.
If in the 70's this long skirt was taken seriously, that is worn as a long silk skirt for the evening, now with a short top, sneakers and a baseball cap obtain a completely different flavor.
Today, the challenge is to find a different way to use what we already have, avoiding waste and trying to minimize damage to the environment.
