NEW DESIGNERS:THE RERACS

Naomi Kurahashi founded The Reracs in Tokyo in 2010.
The Reracs is an architecture technical term, meaning “destroy and re-build”. It was chosen to represent the brand's ethos of deconstructing classics to reconstruct them in a modern and minimal silhouette.
Kurahashi describes her brand's style with the words luxury, street and coexistence of oppositions.

 The inspiration for SS 2017 can be summed up by term "beaches". It's all about the branch that lengthens from a root called basic, states the designer who loves to use hi-tech materials, but also the finest bespoke textiles made in Japan, including cashmere, melton wool, silks and cottons, and  spun fabrics from Italy.

Reracs è un termine tecnico architettonico, che significa "distruggere e ricostruire". È stato scelto per rappresentare l'ethos del marchio, decostruire i classici per ricostruirli in una silhouette moderna e minimale.
 Kurahashi  dscrive lo stile del suo marchio con le parole lusso, strada e coesistenza delle opposizioni. L'ispirazione per la SS 2017 può essere riassunta con il termine "spiagge". Si tratta del ramo che si allunga da una radice chiamata base, afferma la designer che ama usare materiali hi-tech,ma anche i migliori tessuti su misura in Giappone, tra cui cachemire, lana di melton, seta e cotoni e tessuti filati italiani .

RETROPOSE- BEAUTIFUL TIMELESS THINGS

About two weeks ago I was walking with a friend on the streets of the center of Rome, we went at Via del Pellegrino, as she had seen a leather handmade necklace that she was determined to buy. We found the shop and we discovered many interesting leather accessories and many cozy, unstructured and modern design clothes. Retropose is the line created by two Roman girls: Federica Cremisini and Giulia Mitarotonda, who have decided to join their forces after a different path (one graduated at the Accademia di Moda e Costume in Rome, the other one grew up in France, Iran and Turkey and graduated in economics at the French High School Istanbul) both focused on creating unique, refined and timeless accessories, with a minimal aesthetic concept.

Circa due settimane fa camminavo con un'amica per le vie del centro di Roma, ci dirigiamo in via del Pellegrino, perché aveva adocchiato una collana di pelle lavorata a mano che voleva assolutamente comprare. Trovato il negozio scopriamo tanti accessori di pelle interessanti e anche alcuni capi in tessuto dal design cozy, destrutturato e moderno. Retropose è la linea creata da due ragazze romane: Federica Cremisini e Giulia Mitarotonda, che hanno deciso di unire le loro forze dopo un percorso diverso (una diplomata all'Accademia di Moda e Costume di Roma, l'altra cresciuta tra Francia, Iran e Turchia e laureata in economia alla French High School di Istanbul) entrambe focalizzate sulla creazione di accessori unici, ricercati, destinati a durare per sempre e con un concept estetico asciutto e minimale.

NEW DESIGNERS:AALTO

AALTO is a Finnish designer brand, created in Paris by Tuomas Merikoski.
His brand takes a new approach to the feminine wardrobe by playing with masculine details, proportions, confort and elegance. AALTO’s inspiration comes from exploring the diversity of the modern Finnish culture by reinterpreting its traditional DNA, and its blend of harmonious contrasts. AALTO connects fashion, design and art, by actively collaborating with leading Scandinavian artists. The outfits he created were also inspired by his roots and extremes of his homeland's youth.

AALTO è un brand del designer finlandese,  Tuomas Merikoski realizzato a Parigi.
Il suo marchio ha un nuovo approccio al guardaroba femminile giocando con dettagli,  proporzioni, comfort ed eleganza maschili. L'ispirazione di Aalto viene  esplorando la diversità nella cultura finlandese moderna reinterpretando il suo DNA tradizionale e la sua miscela di contrasti armoniosi. AALTO mixa moda, design e arte, collaborando attivamente con i principali artisti scandinavi.
Gli abiti da lui creati sono ispirati alle sue radici e agli eccessi della sua terra d'origine.

NEW DESIGNER - DOMENICO CIOFFI

Today I want to talk about a young Neapolitan designer.
Domenico Cioffi leaves his town just long enough to go to Rome to study at the European Institute of Design, after he started working for international brands he return to Naples where he opened his headquarters. His clothes breathe Mediterrranean contamination but also minimalism of Northern Europe influences expressed in cuts and colors. The brand is very young, born just three years ago, the fall / winter 2015-16 collection, all played on red leather, black and white, flared skirts and trapeze lines, is modern and impactful. Perhaps the collection for next spring / summer, is less visually impact but more elegant and evocative, predominantly black, with inserts and transparencies. Domenico Cioffi is a guy to keep an eye on!

 E' di un giovane designer partenopeo che oggi voglio parlare.
Domenico Cioffi lascia la sua città giusto il tempo per andare a Roma a studiare all'Istituto Europeo di Design, e fare esperienze di lavoro presso brands internazionali, ma torna a Napoli dove apre il suo Headquarter. I suoi abiti respirano contaminazioni mediterranee ma anche linee minimali e colori d'ispirazioni Nord Europee. Il brand è giovanissimo, nasce appena 3 anni fa, la collezione autunno/inverno 2015-16, tutta giocata su pelle rossa, nero e bianco, gonne a corolla e linee a trapezio, è moderna e di forte impatto. Forse è visivamente di meno impatto la collezione per la prossima primavera /estate, ma più elegante e suggestiva, prevalenza di nero, con inserti e trasparenze. Domenico Cioffi è un ragazzo da tenere d'occhio.
