JACQUEMUS - "LA MONTAGNE" COLLECTION

"For the collection, after such a particular year, I wanted to gather people inside and share a fashion moment together," the designer revealed on an Instagram story just minutes before the show started. "I wanted to focus on the clothes, the silhouettes, the colors, the fabrics, the details and the energy of the models." After the fields of lavender, wheat and the sea, Simon Porte takes us to the mountains with a "see now, buy now" coed collection, presented on the runway — but, in an unexpected twist, the clothes made their debut in a stark, indoor space. The name of the collection, "La Montagne," hinted at a dreamscape mountain as a potential backdrop, the French designer proposes a version of mountain-wear clothing. In the Fall Winter 2021 collection there is no shortage of references to mountain clothing. Hints of free climbing with ropes, carabiners and a reinterpretation of climbing shoes. Trekking inspirations with utility accessories for hiking: hats with ear flaps, baby carriers, hiking shoes. As for the clothes, Jacquemus is well-versed on the subject of sexy pieces and there's plenty of that on offer — cropped knit cardigans, slinky silk sets, a bright orange biker short bodysuit and a rainbow assortment of ribbed-knit bra tops shown on both men and women.

S/S 2019 TREND: ONE-SHOULDER

As claimed by Céline, Versace, Balmain, Saint Laurent, and many other designers, the spring-summer 2019 strategy involves a one-shouldered silhouette. Whether it’s on the beach with a one-strap swimsuit or on the town in a single-sleeve dress or top, there are plenty of good reasons to integrate this silhouette into your wardrobe.
