PLAY WITH MISS DIOR

Christian Dior Spring-Summer 2022 collection: In this fashion show of the "new beginning" Maria Grazia Chiuri wanted to emphasize the aspect of the performance and asked the artist Anna Paparatti to set up a set in which to stage a kind of "nonsense game": is a huge game of goose with the models passing from one square to the other. The setting is cheerful, colorful, a little childish. Chiuri is inspired by the Slim Look conceived by Marc Bohan, director of the maison from 1960 to 1989, and perhaps the least known of those who have occupied this role. It was Bohan who introduced prêt-à-porter, who thought of a line for young people, Miss Dior, and who thought in “industrial” terms. He made the maison modern ». Translated: clean lines, short hems, A-line baby-doll dresses, no embroidery, no pastel tones; the looks appear to be made with stripes and squares, the colors are full. “Something graphic and clean, minimal and positive. Because I think we have to give an optimistic outlook to the future” M.Chiuri said.

BURBERRY S/S 2022 - ANIMAL INSTINCT

Riccardo Tisci deconstructs the trench coat and dedicates the collection to his recently deceased mother. The spring summer 2022 Burberry collection, entitled Animal Instict, was presented with a digital fashion show through a video in which the models travel through metaphysical spaces. A few looks into the transfigured trench coats that opened the show—long at the front, cropped at the back—the camera panned around a model to reveal her naked derriere. The models worn droopy Bambi ears, for give to them the same emotional expression that animals convey through their ears.
‘To me, this presentation really represents the freedom of our imaginations: how we dream to come alive', Tisci said.
