DANCING GOLD STAR

Gold to close 2014 with an outfit too far from the most appropriate rigor in these hard times , as a good omen for the coming year, and if it is from the chaos that generates a dancing star finally we will see many stars dance! Happy new year
Oro per chiudere il 2014 con un outfit eccessivo, lontano dal rigore più consono a questi duri tempi, come buon auspicio per l'anno che verrà, e se è dal caos che si genera una stella danzante vedremo finalmente tante stelle ballare! Buon anno

THE GOLD DRESS

I could go back to the Byzantines clothes full of rich gold marquetry inlays, then move up to the opulence of Baroque to the dresses of oriental inspiration by Poul Poiret in the early '900 . The costume history is studded with gold dresses, synonymous with splendor and riches. And for all the '900 to date there is no season and catwalk where is missing a gold dress that is made in laminated fabrics, sequins , glitter or precious embroideries. Exaggerated even for this holidays.

THE END IS THE BEGINNING

Sacripante Art Gallery opens with its first exhibition:The End Is the Beginning with artists Lucamaleonte and David Diavù Vecchiato.
The space mixes baroque interior design with rough cement and becomes the base of a bold curatorial project:two annual exhibitions, a focus on the artists who literally invade the walls for 6 months. The entire environment becomes a cradle for an artistic idea which dies after six months: ten artworks for each artists, serigraphies and t-shirts with drawings exclusively realised by the two artists who, on the walls of the last room, tell a story that after six months dies to be reborn.
The End Is the Beginning is about the archetype  of beginning and end.
"For forty days the flood kept coming on the earth, and as the waters increased they lifted the ark high above the earth. They rose greatly on the earth, and all the high mountains under the entire heavens were covered." (Genesis 7,17 7, 19)
The biblical recount Noah's Ark inspired Lucamaleonte and David Diavù Vecchiato to realise twenty artworks on wood which reveal their concept of beginning and end, death and salvation. Each artist recreates on broken boards the tragedy of the ending which is seen as a point of rebirth, an Omega merging with Alpha in a love and death embrace.

EARLY BIRDS SHOW ME THE PATH

“Fashion is not something that exists in dresses only. Fashion is in the sky, in the street, fashion has to do with ideas, the way we live, what is happening.”- Coco Chanel

OBEY - SHEPARD FAIREY

“It’s a constant dialogue with the observer; what I do is to send a stimulus and respond with a new stimulus based on the response I have received.”-Shepard Fairey.
It is one of the most famous exponents of street art, Fairey grew in South Carolina, he studied art and in 1988 he graduated at the Art Academy. In 1989, create and realizes the initiative André the Giant Has a Posse; fills the walls of the city with stickers depicting the face of the wrestler André the Giant, the same were then replicated by other artists in other cities. Fairey himself explained that there was no particular significance in the choice of the subject, the meaning of the campaign was to produce a media phenomenon and make the citizens reflect on their relationship with the urban environment. But the initiative that gave international exposure to Fairey was the poster Hope that reproduces the stylized face of Barack Obama in CMYK, has become the icon of the campaign that then led the democratic representant to the White House.
