GREENERY-PANTONE 2017

Take a deep breath, oxygenate and reinvigorate with the color of the year 2017:
The GREENERY -PANTONE 15-0343.
Greenery is associated to nature, taking us away from the blue,  not from the blue of the sky, we love the colour of nature, but from the blue rays of computer, tablet and phone screens.
The more submerged people are in modern life, the greater their innate craving to immerse themselves in the physical beauty and inherent unity of the natural world.
If last year we relaxed with Rose Quartz and Blue Serenity, this year we revitalize with Greenery.

NYFW SEPT.12

Carolina Herrera uses denim for evening dresses, but my attention is focused on black and white stripes dresses and a on a simple one-shoulder bodycon black dress. All the flat shoes.
Metropolitan heroines from the future walk the DKNY catwalk with jumpsuits, tunics, hoods with technical and nylon fabrics.
Jeremy Scott was inspired by the '80s, the era in which he squotting on East Village, night clubs and excessive clothing, vibrant colors, tight fitting jumpsuits, skirts, sequins and leather.
Laura Kim and Fernando Garcia from the Monse brand have designed this Oscar de la Renta collection focusing the attention on evening and cocktail dresses, but also ethnic tunics and crochet dresses.
Colorful flowers brighten up the whiteness of bon ton lines that contrast with the sexiest outfits made of shorts and bras in sight in the Phillip Lim's runway.
Necklines origami, overlap asymmetric cut, crisscross elements, pleating, experimental shapes and volumes, high couture  on the Proenza Schouler duo's runway.
Marcus Wainwright, helming Rag & Bone solo this season  show us an all-weather collection with a good number of jackets, lightweight sweaters, and leather trousers suitable for whatever the local meteorology.
Corolla dresses, well constructed silhouette, architectural details, and structured organza dresses  closed the Zac Posen runway.

NEOPRENE

CLOSET CASTLE di Annapaola Brancia d'Apricena

Renewed findings from the coffer of a castle

Neoprene was invented by two DuPont scientists in 1930.
Neoprene has been used for the first time in the 50s for clothing by two Californian surfers brothers,  so the diving suits was born. Slowly the use of neoprene widespread for sportswear. For some years it officially became part of the fabric used by designers. In fact it's a material rich in quality, because despite being soft and flexible it remains rigid and it carves shapes and silhouettes, does not need to be ironed and it's easy to dye and print.
