It's 1947 when
Christian Dior launches the new look he creating a new chapter in fashion.
The shoulders are rounded, waist tightens, thanks to rigid corset and skirts are wide. Success is immediate and continues during the 1950s. Over time the silhouette evolves, during early 60s, corset becomes soften, the skirt is slightly and shorter, a less structured and informal look, suitable for a walk on the beach or on the waterfront of St. Tropez as we remember a young Brigitte Bardot.
The new look is in perpetual evolution, fashion does not revolutionize, but evolves into small steps.
E' il 1947 quando
Christian Dior lancia il new look creando un nuovo capitolo della moda. Le spalle si arrotondano, la vita si stringe, grazie anche a bustini rigidi e le gonne si fanno ampie, a corolla. Il successo è immediato e prosegue nel corso degli anni '50. Col tempo la silhouette si evolve, sono i primi anni '60, i bustini si ammorbidiscono, la gonna è leggermente meno ampia e più corta, un look meno strutturato e più informale, adatto a una passeggiata sulla spiaggia o sul lungomare di St. Tropez così come ricordiamo una giovanissima Brigitte Bardot.
Il new look è in perenne evoluzione, la moda non rivoluziona ma si evolve a piccoli passi.
