Very fashionable during the 70's, it was large and casual, made in warm and enveloping fabrics; most glamorous in the 50's, unforgettable capes by Balmain worn over a slim-fitting, belted dress. I really love the ethnic-inspired capes by Poul Poiret with paisley prints and trimmed with fur at the collar and cuffs that date back to the 20's as well as those embroidered for evening dresses by Jeanne Lanvin.
On the catwalks today a cheerful mix of styles, like we got used to in this millennium.

Corsi e ricorsi: sporadici avvistamenti negli anni '80 e '90 grazie ad intellettualissimi stilisti giapponesi. Di gran moda invece negli anni '70, ampie e sportive, in tessuti caldi e avvolgenti; più glamour negli anni '50, indimenticabili le mantelline di Balmain indossate su abiti strizzati in vita.
Le lunghe mantelle in tessuti paisley bordate in pelliccia dal sapore etnico di Poul Poiret risalgono agli anni '20 così come quelle ricamate da sera di Jeanne Lanvin.
Sulle passerelle oggi un allegro mix di stili, come ci ha abituati questo millennio.
