MY TURKISH TRIP#2 -THE HAREM

Il palazzo di Topkapi era la residenza dei sultani e il centro di amministrazione e addestramento dell'Impero Ottomano. Il palazzo, costruito a metà del '400, fu la residenza dei sultani e della corte ottomana. Nel 1922, con l'abolizione dell'Impero Ottomano, il palazzo fu adibito a museo.
 All'interno si possono visitare gioielli incredibili, c'è un diamante di 85 carati, armi preziose, oggetti raffınati e gli antichi abiti dei sultani, religiosamente conservati dietro teche di vetro e purtroppo è vietatissimo fotografarli...non me ne sono ancora fatta una ragione.
All' interno del palazzo sorge la struttura dell'Harem, che dal punto di vista architettonico è molto interessante in quanto riflette diversi stili architettonici che vanno dal 160 ai primi dell' '800. Nell'harem ci sono piu' di 300 stanze, 2 moschee e un ospedale.

Istanbul:Moschea di Santa Sophia vs Moschea Blu.
Al centro di Istanbul, l'una di fronte all'altra, la moschea blu ancora attiva e totalmente islamica caratterizzata da colori e decorazioni tipiche locali; l'altra , oggi museo, fatta costruire da Giustiniano nella metà 500, è un mix di stili tra islamico e bizantino. Il contrasto tra l'austerità e l'opulenza e la grandiosità creano un fascino ineguagliabile.
