HANNAH COHEN-CHILDE BRIDE

 Hanna Cohen comes from a family of poets and musicians, broadcasters and booksellers. She left home as a teenager to travel the world working as a model, soon finding herself in New York and becoming over the next few years something of a muse to the city’s art scene, posing for Richard Prince, Terry Richardson, David Salle, Will Cotton, and Ryan McGinley. Working on the other side of the lens, Hannah shot album covers and music videos for friends, and her first book of photography, ”Fotografias Brasil”, was published earlier this year.

Hannah’s debut record,"Childe Bride“, was produced by Thomas Bartlett, aka Doveman, known for his keyboard work with artists like The National and Antony and the Johnsons.

TRASH THE DRESS: HOW TO DESTROY YOUR WEDDING DRESS

Fino a domani, i Cantieri Culturali alla Zisa, a Palermo, ospiteranno “Trash The Dress”, studio teatrale per 10 attrici dai 15 ai 70 anni, curato dalla regista Roberta Torre, con la partecipazione vocale di Miriam Palma, le coreografie di Giuseppe Muscarello e gli interventi musicali di Mario Bjm Bajardi. La prova aperta al pubblico, il 25 gennaio alle ore 18, si terrà presso la Sala Perriera dei Cantieri Culturali alla Zisa in via Paolo Gili 4 a Palermo. Trash The Dress, è una pratica che ha già trovato ampia diffusione nel mondo della fotografia e che consiste nella distruzione dell'abito da sposa per lottare contro l'ipocrisia legata al simbolo in cui ogni donna da sempre ha riposto aspettative e speranze. L’amuleto del "per sempre" viene pertanto bruciato e seviziato sadicamente attraverso una procedura catartica e liberatoria. La regista Roberta Torre rinnova questa pratica conferendole un valore rituale attraverso con una mediazione simulata da 10 attrici, che daranno vita ad installazioni sul tema.

STRIPES LAST FOREVER

Le righe attraversano tutte le epoche e rimangono una delle fantasie preferite da stilisti, attori, cantanti, gente comune, sinonimo di eleganza e semplicità. Quest'anno stilisti come Massimo Rebecchi, Marc Jacobs, Christian Dior, Michael Kors, Dolce&Gabbana le ripropongono nelle loro collezioni primavera estate 2013.
Oggi sono in mood vintage e voglio farvi vedere un po' di immagini storiche che hanno catturato la mia attenzione.

The stripes through the ages remains one of the fantasies loved and used by designers, actors, singers, ordinary people and fashionistas, synonymousvof elegance and simplicity. This year, designers such as Massimo Rebecchi, Marc Jacobs, Christian Dior, Michael Kors, Dolce & Gabbana proposed them in their spring summer 2013. Today I'm in a vintage mood and I'll show you here some  images that have caught my attention.
