LFW - SEPT. 19

Antonio Berardi started thinking about the concept of remixing reframing an original so it becomes new again.
Recently a wardrobe was found at the bottom of the Northern Seas, which belonged in 1643 to lady-in-waiting to the wife of king Charles I of England, when she went on a secret mission on behalf of Holland, one of the ships in her fleet sank and she carried her precious wardrobe: Erdem Morialoglu stats by this story and she imagining a collection with veils, lace, silk and frills that the noble woman would have definitely valued. Fringes and crosses and panels disrupt the tapered lines of tartan, linen and cashmere dresses by Pringle of Scotland.
Long and beautiful printed silk gowns are stops at the waist with a double row of black leather studded belt, lace, velvet, ruffles: the collection that  Christopher Bailey draws for Burberry is absolutely gender-fluid.
A breath of airiness, voluminous silhouettes, billowing silk satin sleeves, a dress tied up with ribbons across an open back, beautiful color combinations, the Roksanda runway gives a sense of sensual comfort .
The Osman collection is a mix of romantic impulses, like tulle capes on work clothes and ruffles on denim jackets.
Christopher Kane said: "I always work with unexpected items and combinations, transforming the everyday into desirable luxury", and he make models to wearing Crocs under elegant dresses.
The Indian-born designer returned to his roots with Oriental theme and Ashish putting on a show which divine hindu reference.
