La primavera arriva a Roma con la sesta edizione di Spring Attitude, il festival internazionale di musica elettronica e cultura contemporanea della Capitale.
Oltre 30 tra i migliori producer e dj provenienti da tutto il mondo, più di 40 ore di musica.
La musica elettronica più all’avanguardia conquista spazi artistici suggestivi.

Si parte giovedì 14 maggio al Maxxi con John Talabot: la magia vera della club culture. Lo stesso giorno in scena Cut Hands, il "grande vecchio" dell'undergrounde e Dean Blunt, eroe oscuro della sperimentazione. Non manca una delle più promettenti bandiere italiane: Yakamoto Kotzuga, all’anagrafe Giacomo Mazzucato.
 Spring Attitude non è solo musica. Il progetto SPRING + ON offrirà un insieme eterogeneo di produzioni incentrate sulla performance audiovisiva e sull’esperienza percettiva di suoni, luci e spazio. Saranno tre rinomati artisti visivi, il tedesco Robert Henke e l’olandese Edwin van der Heide, insieme ai romani Quite Ensemble, a caratterizzare con le loro esibizioni la serata di apertura del Festival al museo Maxxi, tre set progettati per sfidare le frontiere della percezione sensoriale.

Il 15 maggio a La Pelanda & Factory arriva Sbtrkt, colui che senza dubbio ha inciso di più sulla scena elettronica degli ultimi dieci anni, con all’attivo remix per M.I.A., Radiohead, Underworld, Mark Ronson e il lancio di un nome come Jessie Ware. Con lui Clap! Clap!, alias Cristiano Crisci e il salentino Populous. Ancora, venerdì è la volta della musica cristallina del britannico Ambassadeurs; dell’americano Romare e dei giovanissimi Glass Animals, band di Oxford.C’è Redinho, Shigeto e Dj Khalab.

Sabato 16 maggio a Spazio Novecento dalle 22 alle 6: Siriusmodeselektor, l’inedita collaborazione fra i Modeselektor e il tedesco Siriusmo. L’attesa è tanta per il berlinese Apparat. E ancora poi Portico, Youarehere, Baths, Doldrums e Drink to me. Chiude la line up Omosumo e l'affascinante Kelela.

Domenica 17 maggio closing party presentato da Red Bull Music Academy.
Dalle 18,00, a La Pelanda & Factory si esibiranno tra gli altri Clark e Indian Wells. Il primo, inglese, è atteso con un live stratosferico per la sua competenza tecnica e la sensibilità armonica. Il secondo, italiano, si muove in un territorio digitale mutevole ed emozionante, sospeso tra tentazioni dancefloor e profondità downtempo.

Musical sculptures, inspired by sound and activated by computers instead of the invention of a musicians.
An exploratory voyage into the relationship between art and technology, through research and the production of art. This journey has demonstrated and still testifies the complexity and wealth of our ever-changing universe in which creative experimentation has to measure itself constantly against technological and scientific innovation.
It is precisely this dynamic interaction between the spectator and the art work which gives life to a new soundscape, creating contemporaneously a more intimate and shared ambience.
The works presented go well beyond the know horizons of research into sound considered as one the expressive languages of digital art. Indeed, now we have complex machines which reinvent the very concept of  the "musical instrument".
This interaction does not merely involve modifying the sound environment in real time; it consists in generating a series of dynamic relations between the exhibition space, the spectator, and the sound to create a dream-like and suggestive atmosphere.
Concrete object, often made from simple materials such as metal, wood or other primary elements like water and light, are transformed through the invention of special software into complex, interactive musical instrument, capable of producing harmonic or discordant sounds.
A Concerto for machines in which presence of the spectator is required, not only as a spectator and beneficiary, but as the actor or better still, the musician to play these hybrid, innovative instruments.

11 green laser rays which follow parallel trajectories for over 25 metres. A Plexiglas plectrum attached to a pendulum hanging from an invisible pivot brushes against the beams of light, generating an infinite and unending melody.

                                             Veaceslav Druta - Balançoire
The music is reproduced by a swing suspended from two large mechanical wheels. The motion of the large wheels sets a series of guitar strings vibration which produce harmonies. It is the swinging movement of the spectator that "plays" this instrument. The pitch depends on the weight of the spectator while the volume varies according to the oscillation's velocity.

Léonore Mercier - Le Damassama

Le Damassama is an amphitheater of Tibetan bells, a sound installation which transforms the spectator into an orchestra conductor. By interacting with a series of sensor, the spectator's gestures make the bells sound and creates a personalized soundtrack.

Cod.Act -André&Michel Décosterd - Cycloid-E

Cycloid-e  is a ubular metal segments pendulum that reproduces sounds through a rotating movement reacting speakers. A real cinematic choreography. Cycloid-e traces a series of sonorous orbits, creating kinetic Cosmic Ballet.

Zahra Poonawala - Tutti

The installation consists of a wall of fixed loudspeakers and each of those reproduce a background noise at different volumes and pitches, a series of mobile speakers which act as "soloists", reacting to spectator's movement.

Heewon Lee - 108

The sound is produced from various carillons and each character corresponds to a musical note. Thus, as words and phrases are formed on the screen, they are accompanied by a singular musical composition.

Alexandre Burton_Artificiel - Impacts

Visitors are invited to approach the sculpture to experiment with the different forms of this visual and sound installation. The proximity of the visitor activates a series of pulsating, luminous energetic bundles of variable intensity generated by the reels' interaction with the rays on the plate of glass, Imacts invites the spectator to reflect on the power and danger of electromagnetic energy.

Quest' anno per la prima volta Affordable Art Fair arriva a Roma, dal  26 al 28 ottobre alla Pelanda del Macro a Testaccio. La formula delle Affordable Art Fair è semplice ed unica: un ambiente rilassato e non convenzionale e molta arte contemporanea di qualità. Ad Affordable Art Fair tutti possono trovare qualcosa che rispecchia i propri gusti, indipendentemente dalle proprie conoscenze artistiche e soprattutto a portata di tutte le tasche! Il tetto ai prezzi di 5.000 euro, e l’obbligo di esporli per tutte le opere assicura che  il pubblico possa sapere cosa può e non può permettersi.  In fiera ci saranno varie  opere d’arte, da stampe di noti artisti, a sculture di giovani e sconosciuti. Tutti noi possiamo diventare dei collezionisti!

This year for the first time Affordable Art Fair arrives in Rome: a fun three-day event hosting a wealth of galleries and a huge array of contemporary art, the Rome Fair will be taking place between the 26–28 October in La Pelanda, at Macro Museum, Rome, Testaccio area.

The  concept is simple, yet unique: an inspiring and friendly atmosphere in which you can find thousands of original paintings, prints, sculpture and photography all under one roof, and all under €5,000. The work of young, emerging artists hangs alongside some of the biggest household names, while our Young Talents Exhibition provides a chance to snap up a future masterpiece. Everyone of us can become a collectors!
