NEW DESIGNER:VAQAR
VAQAR is an Iranian brand founded in 2013 by
the sisters Shiva and Shirin Vaghar, both born and raised in Tehran.
The brand quickly rose to the spotlight after being successfully shortlisted for the LVMH prize in 2016.
It is during this third edition in 2016 that young designers have seduced the jury of experts who has not remained indifferent by their minimalist vision of fashion inspired above all by their Iranian culture.
While Shiva is a business graduate, Shirin studied visual arts and both are, considering the lack of suitable Fashion schools in Iran, self-taught in Fashion Design.
All at once - structured, layered, flowing and voluminous - their clothing is paradoxical in nature and minimally opulent.
They present a very contemporary style, with outfits that are a modern take on the traditional Iranian or Western look.

Hong and Ko met as designers at Korean shoe brand Esquire, and they decided to design their own collection that matches their style
The Korean-origin duo designers does design, manufacturing, and sales of footwear for women ever since 2007 Spring and Summer collection. Helena and Kristie show the Italian-leveled design and fine sense of shoe manufacturing skills through Korean artisans spirits. Helena and Kristie keep thinking that the typical and sensational Korean-origin women’s shoe brands have to be emerged and stand-out among competitive and rapid-growing Asian fashion markets.

Coralie Marabelle is a french womenswear designer based in Paris.
Graduated from Studio Berçot Paris in 2011, Coralie gained her first experience working for Hermès and for the artisanale line at Maison Margiela before joining the womenswear design studio of Alexander McQueen in London. After winning the Public prize at Hyères’ International Festival of Fashion and Photography in 2014 with her first collection “Dream Catcher”, Coralie Marabelle collaborates among other with Jo Malone London and La Redoute and then she launches her own brand in Paris. Coralie creates ‘couture-to-wear’, anchored in everyday practicality. Minimalist when it comes to volume and the shape of clothing.
Coralie Marabelle also contribute to artistic projects by collaborating with the artist Inge Jackobsen for the A/W15-16 collection, by creating a dress for a contemporary dance performance with the dancer Mélanie Perrier. She finally reveals her first Couture-To-Wear collection for AW16-17 in Paris in March 2016.
L'Oreal Paris has awarded Coralie Marabelle its first Paris Fashion Grant which was revealed by Julianne Moore with 10,000 euros cash prize.
Coralie Marabelle wants to differentiate herself by creating new textures, by working on volumes and details. She reinvents the garment by manipulating the fabric. She transforms raw fabrics into luxury materials. She plays with the codes and dares to mix and create unusual silhouettes. Build, deconstruct, experiment, shape, cut, embroider, wrinkle, transform, lighten.
Coralie Marabelle imagines the garment halfway between masculine and feminine wardrobes. She draws her inspiration from large volumes and raw fabrics of the male wardrobe, combined with curves and ornamentation from “Haute Couture” work. She likes mixing sobriety with extravagance to create elegant, original and contemporary clothes.

TWO (VERY DIFFERENT) NEW EYEWEAR DESIGNER
One, Kuboraum, with a minimalistic design, the other, Anna-Karin Karlsson, more eccentric.
Livio Graziottin, an artist and designer, and Sergio Eusebio, an anthropologist, cool hunter and stylist, started working together after meeting in Berlin. Some time later, on a trip to Italy, they encountered Antonio Pinyin, an engineer with experience in the eyewear business, and the follow afternoon they drew up the first Kuboraum collection on paper.they work on concepts rather than seasons, they are free from any seasonal trends. Their collection is made up of many concepts and one identity, so sometimes they add to their collection with new models of an existing concept, or a new concept altogether.
Anna-Karin Karlsson is Swedish, she started to work in the oldest and one of the most renowned opticians in London, she developed a deep understanding of the artisanal work. The designer's vision and style originates from the juxtaposition of music, art and the theatrical. In 2010 Anna-Karin moved to a cottage in the Swedish countryside to create couture eyewear. Animals, flowers and three-dimensional prints decorate heavy graphic frames.

PASSION FOR MAVI' TATEN
"Passion"is the title of the Spring Summer 2016 new collection by Mavì Taten.
Passion as joy and pleasure but also as pain and longing, a feeling so strong that it encloses the suffering and enthusiasm. The image of inspiration is that one of grieving Madonnas, devout and suffering for their child, the highest representation of a powerful emotion, and their hearts who find themselves separated, detached or joined in the cuts of the garments.
Natural fabrics, used in the Mavì Taten's productions, have a special texture in this collection: are machined from the sun with the help of masks rush. The energy of the sun burned the tissue as well as passion burns and consumes people. It is linen and cotton that during one year were left to burn in the sun waiting for the pattern desired by the designer who worked on the panels of rattan. With the change of seasons also changed the time of exposure to the sun; 20days, two months, three months, the sun and the waiting.
Another element that has to be created thanks to the fire is the pottery, of which Grottaglie (Ta) hometown of Vittoria Formuso, is a big and important production center. Here were made the brilliant red hearts present in the shooting, through the magical process that combines ceramic materials and natural elements. Again the time then, a fundamental element in the search of inspiration for the brand, as the passion has its own time; some wear out quickly, but always remains the sign.
